Auto Loan Rejection Rates

Auto loan rejection rates from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York's Survey of Consumer Expectations Credit Access Survey. The sample size of the Fed’s survey is a nationally representative, internet-based rotating panel of approximately 1,300 household heads. Respondents are asked whether they have applied for auto loan credit over the past 12 months, and if their application was rejected. The mean rejection rate is calculated from respondents who indicated they had applied for an auto loan. Updated tri-annually.
