Auto lenders and dealers should prepare for stricter state regulation as former Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Rohit Chopra seeks to enact his playbook with state attorneys general.  The Progressive State Leaders Committee earlier this month hired Chopra to serve as senior adviser to the newly established Consumer Protection and Affordability Working Group, an affiliate of the Democratic Attorneys General Association. Chopra was fired from the CFPB by President Donald Trump on Feb. 1.   In his new role, Chopra will advise Democratic state attorneys general on how to implement policy […]
