Auto Finance News is proud to welcome its latest speaker to the Auto Finance Summit Asia roster, William Shen, a 26-year auto finance industry exec and consultant who grew up in Shanghai and has extensive credit risk experience with large U.S. companies.
He’ll be joining John Hyatt, executive vice president of dealer services at U.S. Bank, for a panel discussion entitled “Taking Your Finance Business to the Next Level,” in which the panelists will elaborate on best practices from some of the largest auto lenders in the world.
Shen currently works as a credit manager at State Farm Bank, where he analyzes auto loans and leases as well as other consumer loan products. He’ll be relocating to Shanghai in August where he received his Bachelor of Science from Fudan University before moving to the United States to pursue an MBA from the University of Baltimore.
The majority of Shen’s career was spent at Citi Bank, where he most recently served as senior vice president and business control director in the global consumer business of operational risk control. Prior to that, he spent 15 years in Citi’s consumer finance arm, OneMain Financial. In that role, he was leading data and strategic analytics in marketing, decision management, operation, and finance for customers in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico.
He’ll be discussing how to structure an auto finance enterprise, key factors in day-to-day operations, and how to stay ahead of the trends impacting the space.
