Following the enormous success of their inaugural White Clarke Group Auto Captives Summit in 2015, White Clarke Group have announced a star-studded line-up of speakers for their next summit which will take place on November 9th, 2016 at the Hilton Hotel in Tower Bridge, London.
John Ellis, former head of Ford’s connected car program in Chicago is returning to update delegates on the commercial implications of emerging connected car technologies. Last year he described how harvesting and monetising data has attracted technology companies such as Google, Apple into the auto industry and he evaluated the potential for this to disrupt auto finance. John’s 2015 presentation The Zero Dollar Car is free to view here.
This year, he addresses the industry’s response: The Zero Dollar Car – Part 2: Rewriting the narrative in favour of the automotive industry. John examines what other industries are doing to counteract the growing dominance of tech-cos, how their strategies can be applied to the Automotive Captive Finance industry and to outline a potential new role for the Automotive Captive Finance professional within the automotive OEM.
Joining John at this year’s summit will be Danny Williams, Chief Innovation Officer at IBM who will be presenting on Blockchain Applications in Auto Finance. Richard Harris, Head of International Operations at Feedzai will be discussing the use of machine learning to enhance fraud detection. Additionally DocuSign will be briefing delegates on another industry hot topic “Next generation digital signatures”. The day’s proceedings will be chaired by John Leech, Head of Automotive for KPMG.
White Clarke Group’s Auto Captives Summit, entitled ‘Auto Finance in the New Digital Ecosystem’ is one of the year’s not-to-be-missed events and can be combined as a two day extravaganza by attending the International Auto Finance Network Conference which takes place on the day after at the same venue.
