Five months since entering the direct-to-consumer lending space, Prestige Financial Services is bolstering its presence with an updated website. The new site is slated to debut at the end of the first quarter, said Rich Hyde, Prestige’s chief operating officer.
“We never had to market to consumers as much before, so now our website will be also focused toward direct customers,” he told Auto Finance News. “This means a lot of content on how to obtain a loan or how to improve your credit score. We’ve also made videos, some of which feature our customers and their experiences.”
The immersion into the direct business has been slow and methodical for Prestige, Hyde said. Since it officially launched a direct lending operation, Prestige has originated about 200 loans.
“We won’t really put the pedal to the metal until the website is up and is built as user-friendly as possible,” Hyde said, adding that Facebook and a Twitter presence, as well as an improved app, will go hand-in-hand with the launch of the site. “We do have a Prestige app now, but we will develop a new app for our direct customers,” he said. “That’s more of a phase two for us at this point.”
