iLendingDirect is preparing to launch two different products during the second half of 2017, including iPlayersDirect — an anonymous car-buying platform for high-end income earners, such as professional athletes, Auto Finance News has learned.
“Our iPlayersDirect initiative will provide a suite of services — including the ability to assist athletes and those who have the potential for a lapse or career-ending event — to secure insurance coverage while they are in recovery or assist in the sale of the vehicle if they are not able to return to their primary position,” Nancy Fitzgerald, president and chief executive of iLendingDirect told AFN.
Fitzgerald declined to offer the program launch date, as it is still in its final stages of securing partners.
Separately, the company will launch an app to allow people to refinance their vehicles “in a matter of minutes,” she said. The app is a joint venture with a fintech company — which will be announced later this year — and will include person-to-person vehicle sales and new vehicle purchases, she said.
Part of the interest in developing an app is that iLendingDirect straddles the in-between of being an automated fintech financial solutions provider and old-school personable financing, Fedelina Madrid, managing director of marketing for iLendingDirect, told AFN.
Englewood, Colo.-based iLendingDirect leverages a network of more than 25 banks and credit unions on its platform.
