LaHood: 'Future Bright for Auto Industry'

Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood touts the future of the auto industry as "very, very bright," and credits Pres. Obama for his role in the industry's rebound.

The future is bright! The national auto stock dropped last year for the first time (including thanks for the "cash for clunkers"). At some point in time cars do need to be replaced and even the 72 & 84 month financing stupidity does eventually result in some owner equity in a car so they can trade without being upside down. The only questuion is "how much longer is the wait until demand is forced by obsolesence"?

Here is where good credit management can help. Reasonable (not too tight and not too loose) financing when the buying resumes. Start with the financing being good for the consumer and not just the dealer.
