The financial sector is on track for a 25.6% increase in national advertising spots, outpacing telecom (12.5%), auto (11.0%), retail (0.8%), and consumer products (-21.4%), according to new data from Katz Media.

Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, Navy Federal Credit Union, and PNC Bank ― which maintain some of the largest auto finance portfolios in the country ― are among the top radio advertisers so far this quarter, according to Katz. Insurers Allstate, American Family Insurance, and Geico lead the category, too.

The auto sector, meanwhile, is coming off 24.9% growth in national radio spots in the first quarter. Top advertisers in that segment are Dodge, Jeep, and Chrysler, among others, according to Katz.
