The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety today released its annual list of the most stolen vehicles.

The 10 vehicles with the highest insurance theft losses:

1. Cadillac Escalade (average loss payment per claim: $11,934)
2. Ford F-250 crew 4WD ($9,636)
3. Infiniti G37 2-door ($10,324)
4. Dodge Charger HEMI ($10,118)
5. Chevrolet Corvette Z06 ($41,229)
6. Hummer H2 4WD ($10,324)
7. Nissan Pathfinder Armada ($12,458)
8. Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 ($7,571)
9. Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ($6,814)
10. GMC Yukon ($9,499)

And here are the 10 with the lowest losses:

1. Volvo S80 (average loss payment per claim: $619)
2. Saturn VUE 4WD ($1,445)
3. Nissan Murano ($1,790)
4. Saturn VUE ($2,340)
5. Honda Pilot 4WD ($1,927)
6. Subaru Impreza ($1,858)
7. Toyota Prius ($2,203)
8. Mini Cooper ($2,134)
9. Toyota Tacoma double 4WD ($619)
10. Toyota Sienna 4WD ($2,203)

Just wondering how this info factors into risk models. Any thoughts?
